Højdepunkter

An original and hilarious comedy walking tour of St Davids, guided by the "actual" St David. This is a unique experience, covering thousands of years of absurd mythology and questionable local history. Expect heavily-embellished part-biographical stories from Wales's patron saint, as well as tall tales about Vikings, monks and leeks, all within the beautiful surroundings of Britain's Smallest City. This brilliantly imaginative and very silly tour is a must-do activity for anyone looking for something different on their visit to Pembrokeshire. Suitable for all, involves a moderate amount of walking. Dogs and children also very welcome! For large groups (10+) please get in touch via email.

Rute

  1. The tour starts here and you will get to see the eco-friendly outside of the centre plus a hidden garden, the legendary St Non's Rocks and a Neolithic picnic table.

    15 min

  3. Cross Square, St Davids, is the centre of the city, home to the local market, iconic cross monument and war memorial garden. You will hear stories about Welsh icon Owain Glyndwr, plus lesser known stories about the brotherhood of St David.

    10 min

  4. See the site of the oldest recorded bed &breakfast in the city (dating back to 11th century) and hear about a very famous former monarch who once stayed there.

About Pembrokeshire

Pembrokeshire is the south-western tip of Wales, a county of sea cliffs, sandy bays, castles, seabird islands and the Preseli Hills.

Most of Pembrokeshire's coast lies within a national park, and the 299-kilometre Pembrokeshire Coast Path follows the cliffs from Amroth in the south to St Dogmaels in the north. St Davids, in the far west, is the smallest city in Britain, with a twelfth-century cathedral in a hollow and the ruins of a bishop's palace beside it.
