Learn the basics of cross-country skiing and experience one of Finland’s most traditional winter activities in the snowy surroundings of Levi. Never tried cross-country skiing before? This experience is made for you. We start on an easy cross-country ski trail and take time to get comfortable on the skis. Your guide will show you the basics of balance, gliding, turning and stopping as we get started. Once everyone feels comfortable, we continue along the easy trails through the snowy surroundings of Levi. The pace is adjusted to the group, so there is no need to worry about keeping up. Cross-country skiing is a big part of Finnish winter life, and this is an easy way to try it for the first time while also getting outdoors and exploring the nature around Levi. Your guide will help you throughout the experience and can also take photos and videos along the way. No previous skiing experience is needed.

Rute
Learn the basics of cross-country skiing with a local guide in Levi. The experience starts with an introduction to the equipment and the basic techniques, including balance, moving forward, turning and stopping. Once you feel comfortable on the skis, we head onto an easy trail where you can practise your new skills while enjoying Levi’s snowy winter scenery. About Levi
Levi is a ski resort on a rounded fell in Finnish Lapland, north of the Arctic Circle, with husky safaris, reindeer and northern lights.
Levi is the name of both a rounded fell, about 530 metres high, and the resort that spreads over its slopes and around the village of Sirkka, in the municipality of Kittilä. It lies north of the Arctic Circle in Finnish Lapland, among open fells, frozen marshes and forests of spruce and pine. Skiing runs on the fell from autumn into spring, and log-cabin restaurants and saunas fill the village.
