1Canceled at last minute
The vendor canceled at the last minute due to an equipment failure. Though he did call late the night before to let me know we only had that day and couldn't reschedule with him.
5Beautiful scenery and a great guide/owner
Great experience! Beautiful water and the caves are amazing!
5Amazing experience
We went with the good tide and saw so much beauty….overwhelming. The boat is comfortable and Ash the guide is a local with a wealth of information. Be prepared for change in weather / temperature. I highly recommend this tour.
5Spectacular!!!
Awesome experience!!! The skipper was kind, helpful and full of info and we can't recommend him enough. He was easy to find at the Wharf and parking was relatively easy on the street leading up to it. The scenery is spectacular! He took us inside many sea caves, found us a school of snapper to feed, and dropped us off for a quick swim to Cathedral Cove, then picked us up on the other side after we walked through and got our pics. (No ladder on the boat; he pulled us up over the side.) It was bumpy at times (expected on the sea), and while that was a smidge uncomfortable, we felt very safe. It was my favorite tour after 2 weeks in New Zealand, both islands.
5Fantastic experience that...
Fantastic experience that provided with such a great afternoon. Our guide, Ash was amazing and had great knowledge of the area
5Awesome trip with cool skipper.
We had an awesome trip with Sea Cave Adventures. The skipper was a really nice guy who told a lot about the area, nature and history. Our kids had a really good experience. This was defiantly one of the highlights of our trip so far.

About Whitianga
Whitianga is a small harbour town on Mercury Bay, on the east coast of the Coromandel Peninsula, with beaches, a ferry and game-fishing waters.
Whitianga lies on Mercury Bay, where Captain Cook anchored in 1769 to watch the planet Mercury cross the face of the sun. The town grew around the Whitianga estuary, with a marina, a long town beach at Buffalo Beach and a main street of cafés and fishing shops. A small passenger ferry crosses to Ferry Landing, the start of coastal walks.
