• 5Enjoyable and fun experience

  We had such a lovely experience with the Rowing Experience Club in Cambridge! Omar was absolutely brilliant so friendly, helpful, and incredibly patient with us. Learning how to row in just one day isn’t easy, but Omar explained everything clearly and made us feel comfortable and confident throughout. He also went the extra mile to make sure we had a really enjoyable day, including taking photos and videos of us while we were rowing, which was such a thoughtful touch and gave us some great memories to take home. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we had such a lovely time. A big thank you to Omar for making the day so enjoyable we’d definitely recommend this experience to anyone visiting Cambridge!

• 5The ideal introduction to rowing

  I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to rowing. The instructor was excellent and great at breaking things down so a complete beginner could follow along and actually feel confident on the water. The people were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience relaxed and fun rather than intimidating. We were treated to a lovely day, with the Cam looking absolutely beautiful. Gliding along the river in those conditions was something special. If you're considering trying rowing for the first time, this is the ideal place to do it. Highly recommended .

• 5Excellent Experience - Would totally recommended

  I booked this experience for our Principal Leadership Team as a team-building exercise, and the feedback from the team was overwhelmingly positive. The experience truly exceeded their expectations. The whole afternoon was expertly planned for us. The team enjoyed lunch overlooking the Cam, a tour of the boat sheds, training, launching the boats into the water, rowing, and even a race at the end! The team had a fabulous day and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the experience. It was an incredible opportunity to work together, have fun, and step outside their comfort zones. Our host, Omar, was positive, warm, friendly, and enthusiastic throughout, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I would wholeheartedly recommend this amazing experience to anyone looking for a unique and memorable team-building activity.

• 5From ergs to an eight in one session

  I had a fantastic experience with Cambridge Rowing Experience. The three-hour session flew by because it was so engaging and well organised. Omar was an excellent coach and leader. Everything was explained clearly, making it easy to learn even as a beginner. We spent time on the ergs, learned how to safely handle, lift and launch a rowing boat, and gained a good understanding of rowing technique. A real highlight was getting the opportunity to row in an eight-person boat on the same day. It was great fun and gave us a real taste of rowing on the river. Overall, it was a superb experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in trying rowing for the first time.

• 5Youth rowing course

  My son attended the rowing experience course for youths age 13-18 in August and thoroughly enjoyed it. They learned not only how to row in an 8-boat and compete for fun but were also taught the various ethics of rowing, maintenance for the boats and protocol in the team environment. We will be returning. Highly recommend, no previous experience is necessary.

About Cambridge
