9. Circo Massimo Between the Aventine and Palatine Hill the Romans built one of the largest stadium ever built in history with over 250.000 spectators capacity. The chariots racetrack was built in the 6th century BCE. Damaged by several fires throghout the centuries, it was reinforced during the Roman Empire. Nowadays it’s a huge public park.
