As this is a half day tour why not start or end your day with a visit to the town of Albert with its restaurants , shops and Somme 1916 Museum. We only operate private tours, this will be your tour and adapted as necessary to meet your needs during the time. If you have any special sites, such as areas that involved your relatives, please ask as we are keen to adapt the tour specifically for you. About Amiens
Amiens, on the Somme in northern France, is a cathedral city with floating gardens on its waterways and the house where Jules Verne lived and wrote.
The Gothic cathedral of Notre-Dame, begun in 1220 and a World Heritage site, is the largest in France by interior volume, with a west front of sculpted saints and a vast nave. The Saint-Leu quarter beside the Somme, a district of low brick houses, cafés and footbridges, has the river splitting into channels.
Top-ranked sights in Amiens: Beaumont-Hamel Newfoundland Memorial, Somme 1916 Museum (Musée Somme 1916).
