About Stuttgart
Stuttgart is the capital of Baden-Württemberg, a car-making city in a green valley of vineyards, with palaces, museums and a Swabian table.
A bowl-shaped valley on the Neckar, ringed by wooded hills and vineyards, holds Stuttgart. Mercedes-Benz and Porsche both have their headquarters here, and each has its own museum. The Schlossplatz is dominated by the Neues Schloss, a baroque palace, and the Staatsgalerie holds art from the old masters to the modern age.
Top-ranked sights in Stuttgart: Mercedes-Benz Museum, Palace Square (Schlossplatz Stuttgart).
