✨ Two countries, one day: Venetian Piran and Habsburg Trieste, less than an hour apart and worlds away from each other. ✨ Start in Piran, its pastel houses packed onto a narrow peninsula in the Adriatic. Wander the Venetian lanes to Tartini Square and up to St. George’s Church, whose bell tower is modelled on St. Mark’s in Venice. Then cross into Italy. Trieste was the Habsburg Empire’s great port, and it shows: grand palaces, historic cafés where James Joyce once lingered, and Piazza dell’Unità d’Italia, Europe’s largest square facing the sea. Enjoy free time to stroll, shop, or order a coffee, and find out why doing it here takes its own vocabulary. For an extra stop, add Miramare Castle, gleaming white on a rocky point above the sea and surrounded by a lush park. It was built for a Habsburg archduke whose story ended very far from here. This is a private tour, so the pace and the stops are yours to choose. Message us after booking and we’ll tailor the day to you.
A short stop at Socerb Castle, dramatically perched on a cliff above the Gulf of Trieste. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views over the Adriatic Sea, Trieste Bay, and the Slovenian coast — a perfect photo opportunity. Learn a bit about the castle’s medieval history and the nearby Holy Cave of Socerb, once used as a secret chapel.
Explore the charm of Slovenia’s most beautiful coastal town, with its Venetian architecture and sea views. Wander through Tartini Square, walk along the seaside promenade, and enjoy a coffee or pastry overlooking the marina.
Cross into Italy and arrive in Trieste, a vibrant coastal city with a unique blend of cultures. Visit the Piazza dell’Unità d’Italia, one of Europe’s most stunning squares, open to the sea and surrounded by elegant historic buildings. Browse artisanal crafts, sample Italian and Slovenian specialties, and enjoy a relaxed coffee or aperitivo in one of the many charming cafés.

Ljubljana is Slovenia's small, green capital, a riverside city of bridges, a hilltop castle and cafés, with lakes and mountains within reach.
Ljubljana sits on the Ljubljanica River beneath a castle on a wooded hill, and its compact centre is closed to most traffic. The architect Jože Plečnik shaped much of the look of the city, with the Triple Bridge, the riverside market colonnades and the National and University Library. The Dragon Bridge, guarded by four dragons, recalls the city's symbol, and a funicular climbs to the castle.
Top-ranked sights in Ljubljana: Dragon Bridge, Ljubljana Old Town, Triple Bridge (Tromostovje).
