During the tour you will be comfortably seated in a car or minivan with air conditioning. You'll visit the most fascinating places in the city of Capaccio Paestum where you can discover the history and curiosities that make this place unique. We will show you the modern city of Paestum, also known as the City of Temples, the first city of the beautiful Cilento National Park. We'll make short stops at the most significant points of the city, where you can take a walk and take photos. The most panoramic point of the city is the belvedere of Madonna del Granato, where you can admire the plain of Capaccio Paestum and its beautiful sea. If you're lucky, you may see hot air balloons and hang gliders. We'll make a stop at a historic dairy farm, where you can see the friendly buffaloes and taste dairy products, sweets, or ice cream made with buffalo milk. Food and drinks are not included in the price.

Rute

  1. After getting on the car/van, we will go along the walls of Paestum. Along the way, we will make stops and we will explain to you the history of Paestum.

  2. Second stop will be Madonna del Granato where you will admire the view on the entire plain of Paestum, in the background you will see the Gulf of Salerno with the Amalfi Coast and Cilento Coast. We will tell you the story of the sanctuary dedicated to Madonna del Granato and this panorama is the perfect place to take very beautiful photos.

About Salerno

Salerno is a port city at the eastern end of the Amalfi Coast, with a Norman cathedral, a palm-lined seafront and a castle on the hill above.

Salerno curves around a gulf with a long palm-lined waterfront, the Lungomare, and a medieval centre of narrow lanes behind it. The cathedral, begun in the eleventh century under the Norman duke Robert Guiscard, has an arcaded atrium and a tall bell tower, and the city was home to the Schola Medica Salernitana, one of the earliest medical schools in Europe. Above, Arechi Castle looks out over the bay.
