I was born in Zigong, Sichuan. My parents both work in Zigong salt factory (Zigong produces well salt) and my grandpa used to be a boiler man in salt factory. So my life has an intimate connection with salt. Now I live in Chengdu. Cold noodle and wolf-teeth potato are the most popular snacks in Zigong. The most exciting things in my childhood is to go to the grocery next to school to buy cold noodle or wolf-teeth potato after school, eat them and come back home with my classmate. My mom had opened a food stall to sell cold noodle and wolf-teeth potato for many years. If I was at home, l would help her to cut and fry potato, steam and cool noodle. My mom's stall was very popular because her flavor was good and unique. Now if I'm homesick, I will cook this two dishes at home with well salt and chili from my hometown, it's absolutely authentic Mom's flavor.
-- Introduce and familiar with each other. - Introduce the ingredients and process of make cold noodle and wolf-teeth potato - Start to cook cold noodle and wolf-teeth potato under my instruction. I'll use the most authentic cooking method (Zigong cuisine) to teach you and you can't learn this cooking method in any other cooking class. You also can learn how to make chili oil (my home recipe) - I'm not a chef and i learn all the cooking methods from my mom. So the flavor is our home flavor. -- Taste your work after finishing cooking and share your feelings. I'll introduce some characteristics of Sichuan and Zigong cuisine. Other things to note -- any food allergy or dietary restrictions, please let me know - if you can't eat spicy food, I won't put any chili

Chengdu is the Sichuan capital where giant pandas, tea houses, Three Kingdoms shrines and blazing hotpot define an easygoing western Chinese city.
Chengdu is best known as the home of the giant panda, and a breeding and research base on the northern edge lets visitors watch pandas feeding and climbing. In town, the Wuhou Shrine honours Zhuge Liang and other heroes of the Three Kingdoms period, while Du Fu's Thatched Cottage preserves the garden where the Tang poet lived. Wenshu Monastery and Qingyang Palace are working Buddhist and Daoist temples.
Top-ranked sights in Chengdu: Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Leshan Giant Buddha (Da Fo), Kuan Zhai Alley (Kuan Zhai Xiang Zi).
