5Increadible
Great experience, and a fantastic instructor
5A+, book with these guys.
My friend and I did two days of diving with Aqua (SEPT 2026), couldn't recommend the outfit enough. Being the low season and having great weather certainly helped, but the team took great care of us. Day 1: 2 reef dives in the morning, 2 reef dives after lunch Day 2: Incredible drift dive & reef dives in the morning, MUSA & reef in afternoon, and then 1 night dive at one of the reefs we dived on Day 1. The boys from Argentina were great; Javi being our primary guide, Guillermo and Sebastian also led one dive each. Our dives were smooth, no hiccups with great amount of bottom time & variety of life (nurse sharks, turtles, rays, and even octopus). Wilbur crewed the boat, got us in and out without a hitch (and no sea sickness for anyone). Jessica was fantastic running the office and getting our reservations squared away. We were tweaking plans quite a bit and she was able to roll with it. She even went out and got my buddy some traditional Mexican sweets for my buddy's kids. The shop also put us in touch with another dive-master that could take us for a Cenote dive south of Cancun, which was also a great experience.
5Reef dives with Javi & Guillermo
I've been diving since the late '90's, and can say that Javi and Guillermo were excellent. They were very concerned with safety, very patient and very attentive to what we wanted and needed. Definitely recommend them for beginners as well as experienced divers.
5Amazing dive shop! Great instructors!
I have done 9 dives with this company and every time they are amazing! Highly recommend! The instructor, Sebas, is kind, patient, and knowledgeable.
5AWESOME!
I cannot say enough about this business. I walked in and was provided our options for the dive. This was our very first dive after receiving our certification. They took us to Punta Sur for the first dive where we saw turtles and amazing fish and a shark. On our second dive we did Media Luna where we went through caves and reefs. Both were amazing. Javi and Guille were both amazing and made us feel comfortable and safe. I cannot wait to come back to go back out with them.
5Don't Miss It!
First time diving in Isla Mujeres after over 100 in Cancun, Puerto Aventurus and Cozumel and it definitely won't be the last! Our guide Sebastian was phenomenal and it was my first dive in over 200 where someone else took care of all of my gear assembly, even switching out tanks for the second dive. The reefs were beautiful and teaming with life, more so than what I've seen in Cancun. Cozumel is still my favorite, but you really need to stay there to dive because if you come from Cancun it's a 10 - 12 hour day or more for 2 tanks. Aqua Adventures is literally 3 blocks from the Ferry terminal on the island, and with the short boat ride to the sites, we left our hotel in Cancun at 11:00 - am and were back at 6:30 and even rented a golf cart for an hour to tour the island. You can schedule your dives direct with them as they are more flexible to accommodate your schedule rather than the forced times available on Trip Advisor. We were going back to Cozumel in July but now most likely will go back to Cancun and dive here instead as there are many more reefs and wrecks to see!
Isla Mujeres is a small Caribbean island off Cancún, with a calm town beach, a sculpture-dotted southern cliff and warm shallow water for snorkelling.
Isla Mujeres lies a few kilometres off the Yucatán coast opposite Cancún, a narrow island about seven kilometres long with the town at its northern end. The Spanish named it the Isle of Women in 1517 after finding clay figures of goddesses there. Golf carts and bicycles are the usual way to get around, and Playa Norte, a shallow beach of white sand and calm turquoise water, fronts the town.
