Højdepunkter
Pelican Point is a great place to see marine life in Walvis Bay—a colony of thousands of Cape Fur seals makes its home there year-round. This tour takes you along the lagoon and salt mines to the point in a 4x4 vehicle and provides the kayaking know-how to cruise the protected part of the peninsula near the colony. For those who love to be outdoors, surrounded by animals, and without causing explicit alterations to the routine of these natural creatures. About Walvis Bay
Walvis Bay, on the Atlantic coast of Namibia, is a port town where the Namib Desert meets the sea, with a lagoon full of flamingos.
Walvis Bay is Namibia's main port, set on a sheltered bay with a lagoon where large flocks of flamingos and pelicans feed, and desert dunes begin at the edge of town. Cold water from the Benguela Current brings fog and a cool, dry climate, and rain is rare. South Africa administered the town until 1994, when it became part of Namibia.
