  Wonderful tour with Gustavo! The tour allowed me to see the more cultural side of Guatemala City, as well as the tourist side, visiting museums and churches. Appreciated the walking portion of the tour (also appreciated that the tour wasn’t fully walking). Gustavo is soo knowledgeable about the history of Guatemala and Central America as a whole. This tour is great for solo travelers (not too long, picks you up from local hotels, very personable guide)!

  The walking tour was a wonderful introduction to the beautiful, colorful culture and rich history of Guatemala, and I learned so much along the way. Gustavo knows the city by heart, and every fact, story, and historical detail he shared gave me a deeper appreciation for everything I’m experiencing as I continue this incredible trip. My favorite and heartfelt part was when he told me that Guatemalans are taught from a young age that whenever they’re away from their country, they can simply look up at the sky, and it will remind them of their motherland’s flag. 🇬🇹 I thought that was such a beautiful and touching tradition. Guatemala City is the capital of Guatemala, a sprawling highland city of plazas, museums of Maya art and textiles, and a base for volcanoes and Antigua.

Guatemala City sits in a highland valley at about 1,500 metres, which keeps the climate mild.
