Rute
Cape Tribulation is located in the oldest rainforest in the world, the Daintree. A remote tropical paradise teeming with beauty, unique wildlife and pristine beaches, Cape Tribulation is undoubtedly one of Australia’s most spectacular attractions.
The Daintree Rainforest located in Tropical North Queensland, Australia is over 135 million years old, making it the oldest rainforest in the world. The largest rainforest in Australia, the Daintree Rainforest is over 1,200 square kilometres and is home to many animal and plant species not found anywhere else in the world.
Emmagen Creek is found in the Daintree National Park giving the ultimate swimming in the rainforest experience. Lined with water-eroded rocks, filled with beautiful refreshing water, and occasionally having a friendly native visitor or two – Emmagen Creek is the best way to be one with Daintree Rainforest.
Great Barrier Reef meets the edge of the Daintree Rainforest, and is the only place in the world where two natural World Heritage Sites meet.
Explore the treacherous Bloomfield track and walk to the beautiful famous Wujal Wujal Falls, just north of the Daintree Rainforest. This land is filled with the rich Aboriginal culture of the Kuku Yalanji people. If possible a visit to the Bana Yirrili art gallery might even be an option, where you can see the amazing art on display that represents the artists from the Yalanji, Nyungkul and Julanji clans. Please be aware swimming is not advised at Wujal Wujal falls as the Daintree is full of crocodiles.
This is a place of great significance for the Kuku Yalanji people who have lived here for thousands of years, and although you can see the falls unaccompanied, the 30 minute tours offered by the Walker Family, traditional custodians of the area, will open your eyes to the surroundings and give you a better understanding of this beautiful area.
Cape Tribulation Beach is the main beach in the area. Though there are several other smaller beaches boasting pristine sands and mesmerising sea views, Cape Tribulation Beach is perhaps the most popular. Situated to the north of the cape, you can take a short walk to the lookout point. From there, you are exposed to breath-taking views of the turquoise ocean and out to the Great Barrier Reef beyond.

About Cape Tribulation
Cape Tribulation is a remote headland in the Daintree rainforest of tropical north Queensland, where World Heritage forest runs down to reef beaches.
Cape Tribulation lies north of the Daintree River, where forested mountains drop to beaches facing the Coral Sea. Captain Cook named the cape in 1770, after his ship the Endeavour struck a reef offshore. Reaching it means crossing the Daintree River on a small cable ferry, and the road beyond twists through dense rainforest.
