During the tour, your licensed guide will explain the history, symbolism, & architecture of Hagia Sophia, including highlights such as the famous Deesis mosaic & other surviving Byzantine mosaics. Visual materials may also be used to help you appreciate details that are currently difficult to see. This is an engaging historical experience designed to help you understand & appreciate Hagia Sophia beyond simply visiting the monument.
