  • 5Ethan and Cherokee Rafting are the best

It is always a process to try and decide what company to use for these types of adventures. You can’t go wrong with Cherokee Rafting.our guide Ethan was absolutely amazing and really catered our trip for the level of adventure our boat wanted. All the other guides seemed like they were good and working great with their boats. I would highly recommend Cherokee Rafting and Ethan for any trip. We will definitely be back, hopefully with some new people to experience the adventures.

  • 5Ask for Rebekah!

Exhilarating activity, incredible atmosphere, and in today’s age, a great human experience for the nervous system if you haven’t done this sort of thing before. We stayed at a cabin nearby which made a convenient start for an early morning. Our guide Rebekah was super fun, knowledgeable, and made a quick and professional recovery of the scene when our raft unexpectedly flipped and many of us newbies were quite disoriented 🤣. You will be shocked at her strength if she pulls you in a raft. I would suggest doing this with able-bodied people who are confident swimmers. If you go in expecting an unexpected flip really could happen, then you won’t be disappointed, and in any case you’ll have a blast! I suggest wearing close-toed water shoes in case your feet encounter rocks and a head strap to secure your glasses if you go under. (Fortunately I saved mine lol) You can wear a ball cap under your helmet which helps block the early morning sun in your eyes. Highly recommend asking for Rebekah and doing this trip!!

  • 5Great Experience on the Ocoee!

We had amazing day rafting the Ocoee with Cherokee Rafting. We've probably done this trip around 10 times, but this was our first time with Cherokee and we were impressed. They have a great facility with lots of outdoors activities to keep you entertained while you wait. The bathhouse facilities were very clean and all the guides were very knowledgeable and friendly! Our guide Everett has only been guiding for a couple of seasons, but took us through "the juicer" which is something none of our other guides ever mentioned and is a ton of fun if your not too scared to get thrown out of the boat! My brother-in-law and his family also loved their experience with Ethan as their guide. Can't wait to come back next summer to try out their high adventure trip!

  • 5Fantastic Experience!!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our all day river rafting with Cherokee Rafting. It was such an adrenaline rush on the upper Ocoee especially the Olympic part. Our river guide, Will, was so much fun. He was friendly and made our trip memorable. We felt safe the entire time with him as our guide. We had a blast surfing on the rapids and hanging out in the bathtub. The dinner stop along the river was yummy. We had barbque sandwiches, chips, pasta salad, fruit brownies, and lemonade. This was a great experience today for our family. Thank you, Cherokee Rafting! We will be back!!

About Chattanooga

Chattanooga is a Tennessee river city between mountain ridges, with an aquarium, a steep incline railway, Civil War battlefields and a walkable riverfront.

The Tennessee River makes a bend at Chattanooga, close to the Georgia border, in a valley between Lookout Mountain and Missionary Ridge. It was a major railroad junction, and the 1941 song Chattanooga Choo Choo made its name famous. The Tennessee Aquarium stands on the riverfront, and the Walnut Street Bridge, a pedestrian bridge from 1891, crosses the river to a district of parks and cafés.

Top-ranked sights in Chattanooga: Tennessee Aquarium, Coolidge Park, Walnut Street Bridge.
