We will pass by a road that winds between the hills to look at the cayons slowly, the landscape will become increasingly arid and rocky, the desert sand, will be waiting until the entrance of Ksar Ghilaine. We will have lunch in a restaurant, at the foot of the dunes. You will have free time in the oasis of Ksar Ghilaine, with the possibility to swim in the spring, camel ride or quad (extra).

2. We take the road back to the island of Djerba, passing by Tamezret to look at a Berber villages

3. then we head to Matmata to visit a cave house at home. Then discover the Star Wars movie sets.

4. We cross the Saharan atlas mountain range passing through a village called Toujene which lies between two mountains that abandon. Back to Djerba.

About Djerba

Djerba is a flat island in the Gulf of Gabès in southern Tunisia, with whitewashed villages, sandy beaches, potters and an old synagogue.

Djerba lies off the south-east coast of Tunisia, linked to the mainland by a Roman causeway and by a short ferry crossing. The island is flat and sunny, with palm and olive groves, whitewashed houses with domed roofs and fortress-like mosques. Houmt Souk, the main town, has a lively souk and a harbour with a sea fort, the Borj el Kebir, and the village of Guellala is known for its pottery.
