This day trip is all about history, culture, and local life. You’ll see Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace with its wooden walls and colorful paintings, walk through the grand Mysuru Palace full of royal stories, explore the busy Devaraja Market with flowers and spices everywhere, and visit St. Philomena’s Church with its tall towers and stained glass. In 10–12 hours, you’ll enjoy a mix of palaces, markets, and landmarks that make Mysore and Srirangapatna truly special.
The tour starts with a pick up and drive to Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace. Back in the 1700s, this palace used to be the summer residence of the Mysorean ruler, Tipu Sultan. Hear about Tipu Sultan and his rebellion against the British regime from your guide. Notice the Indo-Islamic architecture from up close before moving on to your next destination i.e. Mysore Palace.
The Mysore Palace is the official residence of the Wadiyar dynasty in present times. This palace is a mix of Indian and Saracenic design. From the royal wedding hall to the museum, your guide will show you everywhere around the publicly open palace.
Stroll through the vibrant bazaar, interact with vendors, and experience Mysore’s local life with flowers, spices, and incense.
Then for the last part, you will see St. Philomena's Cathedral which is a remarkable gothic-style Catholic church built by the old Wadiyar king. You will be sent back to your hotel as the tour ends.

This was a great tour. Raghunath gave us a lot of history lessons and took us tobgreat places, he was very nice and attentive. Highly recommended
5Fun day touring
This tour was time well spent. My tour guide Shiva was very nice and knowledgeable. My favorite part was him explaining me the art works at the summer palace. He also knows everyone at the palace and we got to skip the lines.I also need to say my driver who was also named Shiva was good and I felt safe the whole time.
4A day in Mysore
This was a very interesting experience. Definitely worth it. Price was reasonable. The car was fine. My guide was Shiv and he was telling me many interesting things about what we see and was happy to accommodate my requests. Mysore palace definitely a must see. Banana leaf lunch is interesting experience, definitely not something I would try just by myself. I think this tour works best for a small party of friends or a family. I would have more fun if I had a bit of company. Some things were not ideal, this is why 4 stars. I think St. Philomena church is a bit of a waste. It’s relatively modern and uninteresting building. Although it maybe unusual for local tourists but any average European church beats this one by a wide margin. For me seeing any Hindu temple would be more valuable. Places were they take you to shop feel a bit as tourist traps. Goods were fine but I feel like I paid tourist tax.

4Overall good trip with some misses
Overall this trip was fine but there were a couple of missteps. The positives: We hit all the main points Tippu Summer Home, Palace, Church, and Devraja market (my favorite). We also stopped into a local silk shop. The misses: -We were supposed to leave at 7:30. No communication they would be late until I reached out. Then it seemed like they scrambled to find a driver and did not leave until 8;15am. Shuffled between two cars in Bangalore. In the end the full driver was great. Very good overall driver. - the guide had lots of facts. Knew the places. English was easy to understand but some words made no sense and there was little two way dialog. In some cases I would ask a question and the answer did not go with the question. - we were supposed to do a banana leaf lunch but ended going to a much cheaper and local place. Not sure if they thought I would not notice. I did.
5Pleasant and enjoyable!
Best Shiva-Shiva combo experience! Shiva our driver is very steady in navigating and calm. Prioritise safety over speed. Shiva our tour guide is the best one! Knowledgeable, able to convey important points without getting too detailed that will bore you during the tour. I appreciate the extra effort for not letting us wait in lines getting tickets, exit and restaurant reservation. I am amazed that he always has connections with every stop of the tour. Kudos! Suggestion: Prior the trip, probably advise guests to prepare small amount of cash for stops that doesn’t accept credit card. For temple/church visits guests may not be comfortable walking barefoot or forgot to bring socks, either advise the guests or prepare socks that can be availed during the tour. Get more creative ideas when taking group photos or videos. :) (e.g. jumpshots, transitions etc)
Bangalore, or Bengaluru, is the garden city of southern India, a technology hub of parks, palaces, pubs and filter coffee on a cool plateau.
Bengaluru, long known in English as Bangalore, is the capital of Karnataka and sits on a plateau about 900 metres up, which gives it a mild climate. The city's nickname, the Garden City, comes from public parks like Cubbon Park and the Lalbagh Botanical Garden, where a glasshouse modelled on London's Crystal Palace holds flower shows. The Vidhana Soudha, the state legislature, is one of its grandest buildings.
Top-ranked sights in Bangalore: Vidhana Soudha, KR Market (Krishnarajendra City Market), Lalbagh Botanical Gardens.
