Your 20-minute helicopter flight begins when take to the skies above the Fox Glacier Township. You will get a view of the remarkable West Coast glacier region from high above before heading towards the mighty Fox Glacier. 5Fox Glacier landing a wonderful experience
The staff were very professional and friendly I would recommend the experience to anyone. The pilot was very experienced and we managed about a ten minute landing on the glacier.

Wow what an amazing experience. My wife and I had a 10am flight. From the first moment to the min we left we were really well looked after. All of the staff are friendly and professional on every way. The flight was incredible with an ice landing, our pilot made it look easy but it’s nothing but, his knowledge was great and good photo skills too. This trip is a must for anyone visiting this area. Well done everyone. 👏👏👏👏👏👏

Franz Josef and Fox are two glaciers on New Zealand's West Coast that flow from the Southern Alps almost into temperate rainforest.
The Franz Josef and Fox glaciers descend from the Southern Alps through steep valleys into lowland rainforest on the West Coast of New Zealand's South Island, ending only a few hundred metres above sea level. The two small townships, about twenty-five kilometres apart, sit in Westland Tai Poutini National Park, part of a UNESCO World Heritage area. Julius von Haast named Franz Josef in 1865 after the Austrian emperor.
