Højdepunkter
This .6 mile round-trip walking scavenger hunt begins at the Poseidon sculpture and includes sights such as the Seawall, Convention Center District, Fort Crockett area and iconic sculptures including dolphins and a sea turtle! Help Poseidon find his trident! The Greek god of the seas has lost his trident as a fierce storm wreaked havoc on the island. The trident was broken in pieces and scattered. Local sea creatures and clues from the beach will help you discover the whereabouts of the pieces of the trident and return them to the proper owner before the power of the trident gets into the wrong hands. Because your phone is your tour guide and there is no time limit, feel free to take stops along the way. About Galveston
Galveston is a Texas barrier-island city on the Gulf of Mexico, with Victorian streets, a long seawall beach and a cruise port.
Galveston is a barrier island city on the Gulf of Mexico, about eighty kilometres south-east of Houston, joined to the mainland by a causeway. In the late nineteenth century it was one of the wealthiest cities in Texas, and the Strand, a street of ornate iron-fronted commercial buildings, and the Victorian houses of the East End recall that period. The hurricane of 1900 killed thousands, and a long seawall and raised ground were built afterwards.
