About The Hague

The Hague, on the North Sea coast of South Holland, is the Dutch seat of government, home to international courts, art museums and a long beach.

The Hague is not the capital of the Netherlands, which is Amsterdam, but the government and parliament sit here, around the Binnenhof, a medieval complex of buildings beside a pond, the Hofvijver, with the Knights' Hall at its centre.
