As it has many health benefits and adds a great flavor for many foods, visitors should make sure to try it when at the market! As well and the many international and traditional foods available like tteokbokki and grilled meat as Yeongju is also famous for its beef!

This famous academy was Korea's first private academy and thanks to great efforts of preservation the site is in incredible condition that allows visitors to feel the historical grandiose of the grounds. And now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the academy is a must visit. As well as to the attached museum filled with recovered Joseon Dynasty artifacts.
