1. On Thursdays you have the possibility to visit the biggest market of Portugal. This market takes place right in the center of Barcelos.

12. We will visit the main church of the city. Parts of this church are even older than Portugal itself. In one of the chapels of this cathedral you will find the tumuls of the parents of the first King of Portugal.

About Braga

Braga is a historic city in northern Portugal, known for its cathedral, Holy Week processions and the baroque stairway of Bom Jesus do Monte.

Braga was the Roman town of Bracara Augusta and has been a religious centre for centuries. Its cathedral, begun in the twelfth century, mixes Romanesque, Gothic and baroque styles. The old centre has pedestrian streets, squares and the Arco da Porta Nova, a baroque gateway; the Biscainhos Museum is set in an eighteenth-century palace, and the Santa Bárbara garden has neat hedges and flowerbeds.
