  4. The Aruba Natural Bridge was a tourist attraction in Aruba that was formed naturally out of coral limestone. It collapsed on 2 September 2005. The natural arch, measuring approximately 25 feet high and 100 feet long, was the remnant of an ancient cave.

  5. Lined with small and shimmery black eroded stones, Black Stone Beach is the only beach in Aruba boasting “black sand”. Erosion by the water not only created black pebbles but also rather sharp and edgy rocks that both characterize this location. Black Stone Beach lies just east of Boca Andicuri. Beach is quiet and secluded. Swimming or snorkeling here is not recommended, because of the strong currents and high waves at this location.

    25 min

  6. Located in Pos Chiquito on Aruba's southwestern coast, Mangel Halto is a secluded, locals-favorite beach known for lush mangroves, calm shallow waters, and a sunken ship. It is celebrated as one of the island's best snorkeling and shore diving spots.

About Oranjestad

Oranjestad is Aruba's small harbour capital, a Caribbean town of pastel Dutch gables, old forts and shopping streets on a dry, sunny coast.

Oranjestad sits on Aruba's leeward coast, where the island is flat and arid and edged with cacti, and its centre mixes Dutch colonial gables with Caribbean colour. Fort Zoutman, dating from the 1790s, is among the oldest buildings in town and holds the island's historical museum, with the Willem III Tower, a later addition, beside it. Wilhelmina Park, a small tropical garden by the water, is named after the Dutch queen.
