Højdepunkter

Wandering through Antibes' old town and getting lost in time in the narrow cobblestone streets. Checking all the main attractions but also the hidden gems! A must do when coming to Antibes to get to discover this incredible coastal town. The only town on the coast with a real provencal feel and not as crowded as others. The gem of the French Riviera!

Rute

  1. We have a stop on the National square to talk about all things around including the Peyet Museum and its impact on the city. Great place to go back to if you like humoristic drawing, it works well for kids and "big kids"!

  2. You'll discover here the best roman cellar in town, know the history about the drink and have a little sample of absinthe ;-)

    20 min

  3. We have a stop in the provencal market on market days (whichis everyday in full season)

    15 min

  4. We are just showing the castle and museum from the outside, giving you an introduction to the museum but admission isn't included. We do recommend for the people interested to come back after the tour to do this personal visit on their own.

    Kører forbi

  5. That's where we finish the tour on top of the remparts overlooking the whole port. Plenty of info regarding the history of the port and his place in Antibes'life nowasdays with all the super yachts...

    15 min

  6. We do see and talk of the Fort Carre from a distance when we are at the top of the remparts at the end of the tour while next to the port!

About Antibes

Antibes is a walled Riviera town between Cannes and Nice, with a large yacht harbour, a Picasso museum in a castle and the green Cap d'Antibes.

Antibes began as the Greek trading post of Antipolis in the fifth century BC, and its old town still sits inside seafront ramparts above the water. The Château Grimaldi, where Picasso worked in 1946, now holds a museum of his paintings and ceramics. Port Vauban, one of the largest yacht harbours in Europe, lies below the star-shaped Fort Carré, and the covered Provençal market at Cours Masséna is the heart of the old town.

Top-ranked sights in Antibes: Marche Provencal, Picasso Museum (Musée Picasso), Port Vauban.
