Located in the centre of Sainte-Mere-Eglise and only a few kilometers from Utah Beach and the landing beaches, the Airborn Museum facing the bell tower on which paratrooper John Steele was suspended on the D-Day. Since May 2024 and the unveiling of the 5th building, the Airborne Museum is now one of the biggest D-Day museum of Normandy and of Europe. Through spectacular museography, the Airborne Museum will make you live the D-Day alongside the American paratroopers of the 82nd and 101st Airborne. In the building "Operation Neptune", prepare to live the parachuting of June 6, 1944! About Mont-St-Michel
Mont-Saint-Michel is a rocky tidal island in a vast bay on the Normandy coast, crowned by a medieval abbey and ringed by ramparts and fast tides.
Mont-Saint-Michel rises from the sands of a wide bay at the mouth of the Couesnon river, on the border of Normandy and Brittany. According to tradition the first sanctuary was built here in 708, and over the centuries a Benedictine abbey grew up the rock in granite tiers, topped by a church and a spire. The island is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
