1. Toledo is one of the oldest and best-preserved cities in Spain, with monuments, museums, and works of art spanning millennia, from Roman ruins to spectacular Gothic cathedrals, mosques, and synagogues, as well as narrow cobblestone streets and romantic plazas. Our guided tour is an exterior walk through the Christian, Jewish, and Muslim quarters, with the option to visit the interior of Toledo's main monuments explained by a guide, such as the 13th-century Primate Cathedral of Spain, the Church of Santo Tomé, home to El Greco's masterpiece "The Burial of the Lord of Orgaz," or the synagogues, with tickets purchased directly on-site, no prior reservation needed. *Monument entrance fees are not included. Your guide will recommend the main monuments you can visit, but if you have any special cultural or religious preferences, please let us know, and we will focus on those to offer you a customized visit.

• 5Wonderful private tour in Toledo

  We took a 5 hour tour with Dani, and we saw and learned so much! He taught us thins about Toledan history and art, and he pointed out many things we never would have noticed. Totally worth the cost of a private tour!

  We had an exceptional experience touring Toledo with Javi! His knowledge of Toledo’s incredibly diverse and extensive history was impressive, but what made the tour truly special was the personal connection he has to the city and its history through his family. You could immediately tell that Toledo is much more than just a place he knows well—it is a place that is deeply meaningful to him. Javi brought Toledo’s history to life by sharing the stories behind its Christian, Jewish, and Muslim heritage and explaining how the different cultures, religions, and civilizations shaped the city over centuries. His ability to connect historical events to the places we were standing made everything much more interesting and memorable. What we appreciated most was how attentive Javi was to our interests. Rather than simply following a standard tour script, he took the time to understand what we wanted to see and learn about and prioritized those interests throughout the tour. He was patient, engaging, and genuinely interested in making sure we had a great experience. Javi is an outstanding guide, and his personal connection to Toledo, combined with his depth of knowledge and dedication to his guests, made our visit truly unforgettable. We highly recommend Javi to anyone visiting Toledo. • 5Awesome tour of Toledo!

  We had a great time on our private tour of Toledo today! Our guide, Sonia, was great. She was very friendly, engaging, and spoke excellent English. She lives in Toledo so is very knowledgeable of the area. Our driver, Jesus, was very friendly and punctual. I highly recommend this tour with Sonia and Jesus!

• 5Terrific tour with David as guide and host!

  Great tour with David! A host as much as tour guide. Wonderful time exploring the streets of Toledo and seeing the highlights of the Catedral and church of Santo Tomé with El Greco’s masterpiece. Appreciated that he got us terrific lunch reservations and connected us to a jeweler we could trust for purchases. A delightful day! We later took the tourist train to see the town from outside the walls and navigate the streets on our own to shop and enjoy.

• 5Best Day in Toledo with Javi!

  I booked the tour through Viator a few weeks before our trip to Toledo. Javi, our guide reached out a few days before to ask where he should meet us and was able to meet us at the train station upon arrival. He had two cabs ready to go for our family which was excellent, considering we had just hopped off the train and figured we’d run into delays. Javi was ready to go! We were given some options prior to our arrival regarding what we would like to do, Javi gave us his recommendations and we went that route - it was INCREDIBLE! It was helpful to know beforehand how much things cost, and Javi provided that in advance. It was also cool because we were able to walk through different areas we wouldn’t have just stumbled upon on our own, Javi showed us the ins and outs of the city. He was knowledgeable, patient, kind, and helpful to us and to those around him. We think we got lucky because he was the best tour guide we’ve ever had. If you head to Toledo for a day trip, I highly recommend this private tour — and ask for Javi if you can!!!!

Toledo is a hilltop city in central Spain, ringed by the River Tagus, where Christian, Jewish and Muslim monuments stand side by side.
