It is pretty isolated and there is only one road that leads to both beaches. Here you'll find pleasantly different coarse brown sand and tiny smooth pebbles but almost no shade. About Willemstad

Willemstad, the capital of Curaçao, is a Caribbean port of pastel Dutch gabled houses, a floating bridge and a UNESCO-listed old town.

Willemstad is built around St Anna Bay, the inlet that splits the town into Punda and Otrobanda.
