About Braga

Braga is a historic city in northern Portugal, known for its cathedral, Holy Week processions and the baroque stairway of Bom Jesus do Monte.

The old centre has pedestrian streets, squares and the Arco da Porta Nova, a baroque gateway; the Biscainhos Museum is set in an eighteenth-century palace, and the Santa Bárbara garden has neat hedges and flowerbeds.
