Many guests choose this tour to see Sintra with fresh eyes, whether it’s their first visit or a return trip, it provides context that makes the rest of their journey richer and more meaningful. If this is your first time in Sintra, this is the day that brings everything into focus. Most tours try to show you everything. This one focuses on helping you understand Portugal, its landscapes, its imagination, and its relationship with the sea, without rushing, megaphones, or checklist travel. Designed for curious travelers and couples, this small-group experience blends iconic places with context, atmosphere, and time to breathe!
Pena Palace is not just colorful — it’s expressive. We approach Pena as a viewpoint, a vision, and a moment, focusing on: -The dramatic setting -The meaning behind its design -The panoramic views that make visitors fall silent You’ll have time to explore and take in the landscape without feeling hurried. (Interior visit optional depending on ticket choice and conditions.)
In the heart of Sintra village, we slow the pace and let the town reveal itself. This is where royal history, daily life, and quiet charm meet. You’ll have time to wander the narrow streets, admire the Sintra National Palace from the outside, or enjoy a gentle walk toward the gardens of Quinta da Regaleira (entry not included). For many guests, this moment is about atmosphere — sitting down for a coffee, watching the town move, and tasting one of Sintra’s iconic pastries, the Travesseiro or Queijada, while taking it all in.
As we drive through the rolling hills outside Sintra, you’ll notice the sandy vineyards of Colares, home to one of Portugal’s rarest wines. Grown on ancient ungrafted Ramisco vines, these wines carry a unique character, elegant, structured, and full of history. Even from the window, it’s easy to imagine the stories and traditions behind this hidden gem of a region.
Standing at Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe, is not about checking a box. It’s about understanding Portugal’s historical relationship with the unknown — the Atlantic, exploration, and distance. We allow time to feel the space, the wind, and the meaning of the place.
We finish the day in Cascais, an elegant coastal town where the pace naturally slows. Enjoy free time to: -Walk the marina -Sit by the ocean -Share a traditional lunch or dessert. It’s a gentle landing after a full, meaningful day.

Absolutely stunning! Our tour guide Rodrigo was hilarious and made the day even that much better. Definitely would recommend
5Fabulous day trip to Sintra & Cascais!
Rodrigo was an excellent guide and host! He picked us up from our hotel and so began a fabulous day trip outside of Lisbon. I loved that there were just four of us making for a comfortable ride. He was super knowledgeable, friendly and funny! We learned so many interesting details and facts throughout the day. He took pictures (he's a pro!), gave us fabulous recommendations for lunch and snacks - we couldn't have asked for a better guide. If you're looking for an easy day trip out of the city to see some cannot miss destinations, don't hesitate. We contemplated taking the train and doing things ourselves and this was money so well spent! It was easy, stress free and enjoyable - just what you want on vacation. Thank you, Rodrigo!
5Great private tour of Sintra/Cais Cais/Campo de roca
Great day with a small group and a great guide, Bernardo. There is a lot of walking and that too uphill, so be prepared.
5Pena Palace tour
This was a fantastic tour. Just the right amount of time in each place we visited. Rodrigo was an excellent guide and has vast knowledge of the Palace and Portugal. It was a nice small group of 4 and we shared it with a very nice couple

5Best Tour!
Our guide Rodrigo was funny and charming and full of wonderful stories about Portugal and the sites we visited. We had time to explore on our own. The small group size was very comfortable. The day progressed smoothly and without any issues.I would highly recommend.
Lisbon spills down its hills to the Tagus estuary, a city of tiled façades, rattling yellow trams, viewpoint terraces and late, unhurried dinners.
The old quarters hold most of the charm. Alfama's tangle of lanes climbs to São Jorge Castle and echoes with fado in the evening, the Baixa's orderly grid runs down to the vast Praça do Comércio on the river, and Bairro Alto and Chiado mix bookshops and cafés by day with bars by night. Viewpoints such as Santa Luzia and Senhora do Monte frame red rooftops and shining water.
Top-ranked sights in Lisbon: Commerce Square (Praça do Comércio), Pena National Palace (Palacio Nacional da Pena), Alfama.
