1. Meet your expert tour guide at Gingold coffee Sivutha Boulevard, Siem Reap at 7:45 am. Please bring a camera, sunglasses, sunscreen and comfortable cycling clothes.

2. Dive into the countryside. After a safety briefing, we cycle to the outskirts of the Angkor Archeological Park as we make our way to the countryside to experience a way of life that has changed little over the centuries.

3. After a 10 km ride through small paths and backstreets, we make our way to a local basket/rattan weaver. Learn about this age-old craft, watch the master and give it a try yourself.

4. Next, we’ll get back on the bikes for a short ride as we cycle our way to a village house to relax and enjoy some snacks. This stop offers a great opportunity to experience first-hand daily life in the countryside. While building techniques have changed over the years, the guiding principles behind their design remain the same and reflect the lifestyle and challenges of living in the countryside.

5. See a different side to Siem Reap by cycling the quiet country lanes to experience traditional village life, explore tasty snacks and connect with real locals along the way. Activities vary according to seasons.

6. Next, we head to the West Baray, a man-made lake dating back to Angkorian times. Here, we will ride along the banks, watching fishermen go about their day while birds peacefully fly above them.

• 5Must-do in Siem Reap

  This was one of our favorite experiences in Siem Reap. Our tour guide was great and we felt like we got a real taste of authentic Cambodia. Absolutely recommend!

  Certainly a family highlight! Sin was an amazing guide who taught us a lot about Cambodia and its culture. The riding was amazing too getting off the man roads seeing Cambodians in their regular daily life.

  Very good bike ride in the country side around Angkor wat and Siem Reap. Our guide Two was excellent, wanted to show the life of the cambodjian people in the country side. Highly recommend, good bikes and excellent guide!

• 5Great Tour away from the Touristy crowds of Siem Reap. Through the rice fields and back alleys of the local community.

  Our guide Hang greeted us with a smile and a coffee, explaining us what to do and where we would go. Then 30 km of Great fun with a local who explained everything we wanted to know and obviously enjoys what he’s doing! We were only with the two of us which made it a luxurious private tour! The Local market was an insight in the real daily life of the people living here. Thank you for your time

• 5Amazing way to spend the morning

  We had an amazing tour with Muen Tuy. A highlight of the experience was Muen taking us to the local market and showing us some different Cambodian snacks. The bike ride itself was a lovely pleasant pace and was not challenging. Would recommend this trip to anyone wanting to see more countryside of Cambodia. Muen was so knowledgeable in all areas we stopped at, we were so impressed! Thanks again to Muen Tuy for an unforgettable morning!

• 5Mountain Biking through Nature, experience the Local side of Siem Reap

  Muen, my guide was very informative and keep things interesting. He lets me interact with the locals through food, activities and nature. Patient with me as I was biking quite slower than him. I really recommend him if you want to experience a different side of Siem Reap never seen by foreigners.

About Siem Reap
