  1. A strategic stop to take in one of the most breathtaking views in the Sacred Valley. From the lookout, you'll enjoy a panoramic view of the mountains, cultivated fields, and Andean communities spread across the valley.

  2. The day's first major stop is Pisac, where you'll explore its important archaeological site, located at roughly 3,300 meters (10,825 ft) above sea level. The site combines Inca architecture, agricultural terraces, and sweeping views of the Sacred Valley. Pisac's altitude is similar to that of Cusco, and the visit is unhurried, giving you time to walk around and take in the site at your own pace.

Urubamba sits at roughly 2,870 meters (9,415 ft) above sea level, lower than both Cusco and Pisac, providing a pleasant opportunity to rest and enjoy the meal before continuing through the Sacred Valley.

  5. Ollantaytambo is one of the most impressive examples of Inca urban planning. Its cobblestone streets, water channels, and well-preserved structures let you see up close the organization and engineering skill developed by the Incas. During the visit, you'll tour the Ollantaytambo archaeological site and have time to explore its structures and admire the surrounding landscape. The town sits at roughly 2,790 meters (9,155 ft) above sea level, lower than Cusco, making this leg of the tour more comfortable for many travelers.

  6. We'll wrap up the experience at Ollantaytambo's main square, where you can continue your journey if you've booked a train to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu. You can continue on to Aguas Calientes by train, departing from the Ollantaytambo Train Station. If you'd prefer to return to Cusco, the departure time from Ollantaytambo is 17:45 h, with an estimated arrival in Cusco around 19:00 h.

  • 4Good way to travel to Ollantaybambo

    The pick up and meeting the group in the morning was frustrating, I confirmed a few time they always say will pick up from our hotel, until the night before like 11:20pm they messaged saying I need to walk to Plaza Recocijo, it wasn’t far from hotel but they could have advised us earlier so we can prepare for it also know what time and where to go. Our guide was nice and informative happy to answer questions also very helpful. The silver museum pretty much just a stop to get you spend money probably for their commission.

    Raul carries a big backpack full of documents and is ready to let you in the world of the Incas. He is by far one of the most knowledgeable guides I have ever had. I learned so much information from him and he was ready with any questions I had. The picking up was a nice gentleman who walked us to the bus stop and the dropping off was not at our hotel. The bus was not allowed in the city and the traffic was so horrid anyway that it was faster to walk. It didn’t take from the tour experience but just be aware. Additionally, the drinks are not included in the lunch buffet. Speaking off, the staff there was friendly. The food and drinks were good, and there was a llama and alpaca outside. So that was cool…

    I had an amazing experience touring the Sacred Valley in Peru! The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and the entire experience was unforgettable. Our tour guide, Jerver, was wonderful. He was knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and made the tour both fun and informative. He shared so much interesting history and information about the area and made sure we had a great experience throughout the day. I truly enjoyed every part of the tour and would highly recommend Jerver to anyone visiting the Sacred Valley. He was an excellent guide and really helped make our trip special!
