You launch from Sarangkot, Pokhara's main paragliding site at 1,592m, after a short briefing from your certified tandem pilot. A few steps forward, and the ground just isn't there anymore. For 25 minutes you glide above Phewa Lake, green hills, and small villages, with Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, Lamjung Himal, and Himchuli in view the whole time. Eagles and vultures often share the same thermal currents. Landing happens near Lakeside, close to where you started. About Pokhara

Pokhara is a lakeside city in central Nepal, with Phewa Lake and the Annapurna peaks above it, and the starting point for classic Himalayan treks.

Pokhara lies in a valley at about 800 metres, with Phewa Lake at its heart. Wooden boats cross to the small Tal Barahi temple on an island, and the Lakeside district is a strip of cafés, shops and guesthouses. On clear mornings the Annapurna range and the sharp pyramid of Machapuchare, 'Fishtail', rise above the water, startlingly close to a lowland town.
