Discover Morón Oasis, a natural desert escape about one hour from Paracas, where towering dunes meet a peaceful lagoon surrounded by native vegetation. The journey takes you through the green Pisco Valley, creating a striking contrast between fertile farmland and the desert landscape. At Morón, you can join an optional 40–50 minutes guided dune walk, including time to pause, enjoy panoramic views and take photos from the dune ridges. Back at the oasis, relax by the lagoon, swim if you wish, or try optional sandboarding. Additional activities such as boat rides and paddleboarding may also be available on site and can be arranged directly with local providers at an extra cost. With few crowds and no large tourist infrastructure, Morón offers a peaceful, flexible way to experience one of the region’s most remarkable desert landscapes.
Scenic Route to Morón Lagoon: Your journey begins with a pictures drive through the Pisco Valley, passing the vibrant San Clemente market and the charming district of Bernales. Along the way, enjoy views of local farmlands where crops like corn, cotton, grapes, and paprika flourish. The drive to the lagoon takes approximately 50 minutes.
Dune Trekking with Breathtaking Views: Upon arrival, a gentle hike through the surrounding dunes awaits. As you walk, take in panoramic views of the Pisco Valley, the distant Andes mountains, and the serene Morón Lagoon itself. Along the way, keep an eye out for native wildlife such as wild ducks, birds, and lizards
Oasis Relaxation: End your adventure with a peaceful break by the lagoon. Swim in its refreshing waters, take a relaxing boat ride, or try kayaking for an extra thrill (available at an additional cost). Morón is not just a destination, it’s a desert escape like no other.

Paracas is a small Pacific bay on Peru's south coast, where desert meets the ocean and boats set out to the sea-lion islands.
Paracas lies on a bay south of Lima, in the Ica region, where bare desert hills run straight into the Pacific. Most of the peninsula is part of the Paracas National Reserve, the first marine protected area in Peru, a landscape of red sand cliffs and pelican-fringed beaches, with the Red Beach as a famous stop. The Paracas culture, known for its fine textiles, flourished here more than two thousand years ago.
