About Adelaide
Adelaide is a relaxed, green capital of South Australia, laid out as a grid inside a ring of parkland, with wine country and beaches close by.
Colonel William Light planned Adelaide in 1837 as a tidy grid of streets and five squares, then circled it with the parklands that still separate the centre from the suburbs.
