3. The Mdina Cathedral Museum is housed within a magnificent Baroque building with a rich history that traces its origins back to the early 1700s. Originally constructed as a seminary under the patronage of Bishop Paul Alphéran de Bussan, the building has undergone a transformative journey throughout the centuries. About Mellieħa

Mellieħa is a hillside village at the north-western end of Malta, above one of the island's longest sandy beaches, with sea views towards Gozo.

Mellieħa stands on a ridge at the north-western end of Malta, the last sizeable village before the ferry crossing to Gozo. Close to its parish church, a sanctuary to the Virgin Mary that began as a natural cave has drawn pilgrims for centuries, and the Red Tower, a seventeenth-century watchtower, stands on a nearby hill. At the foot of the ridge, Għadira Bay curves around a wide, shallow beach, one of the longest on the island.
