Get out of town for a morning walk and join us as we hike through the Daan Viljoen Game Reserve, situated only 25km from Windhoek. Our specially designed 5-6km hiking trail traverses the beautiful Khomas Hochland mountains. About Windhoek
Windhoek is Namibia's compact capital on a high central plateau, with German colonial buildings, craft markets and wild country in every direction.
Windhoek lies about 1,650 metres above sea level in the middle of Namibia, ringed by hills and thorn bush. It began as a German colonial post in the 1890s, and the Christuskirche, a Lutheran church of 1910 in pale sandstone, and the Alte Feste, an old fort that is now a museum, recall that period. The Tintenpalast, the seat of parliament, stands in a garden, and Independence Avenue runs through the centre.
