5You can’t go to Dublin...
You can’t go to Dublin and not go to the Guiness store! My personal favorite was the live Irish music with the dancers. The top floor was really fun too! They had a sky lounge and beautiful view of the city. Highly recommend even if you don’t drink Guinness.
2Tourist trap
Loathed it. Garish fake tourist trap . Massive crown moving through digital displays and souvenir displays- final Guinness at the top heaving noisy and uncomfortable, disliked it intensely
2Save your time/money from this tourist trap!
I suspect we are in the minority, but we expected and hoped for a more old world Guinness tour instead of this completely commercialized, blaringly loud, touristy ripoff. We were herded in like cattle from the get-go, and forced up a spiral modern "ramp" for each floor of overwhelmingly high-tech audio-visual displays like Disneyland. The ONLY part of the tour that met expectations was when actual humans poured our overly crowded room sample's of Guinness and educated us on how to best taste it. The 7th floor, where you get a pint of Guinness (included in entry fee) sucked, because it was standing room only and you couldn't even SEE the panoramic view of the city that the tour touts! We took our pints to a different floor where we could hear ourselves think. Blech! The rest was a money-grab, culminating in the packed and crowded gift shop where we were once again herded into a hugely long checkout queue. Save your time and money~ wish we did! Where are all these five star reviews coming from??
4Guinness Tour
Be aware this is a self guided tour. I wasn’t aware. You can option for the audio, which again I wasn’t aware of. All in all it was very informative. You get a free ticket for a free pint of Guinness at the Gravity bar, which was pretty cool.
4Guinness Store house was great! But watch add ons!
The Guinness storehouse tour was wonderful! The museum is very well done! The layout and the exhibits were fabulous. I loved the end of the tour at the Gravity Bar and the pint of Guinness ! It started off as a very fair price, but I would NOT add the beer padel tasting experience . This activity is outside of the Guinness Storehouse area and very difficult to find. The extra cost was definitely not worth it! Just stick with the main tour and you would love it.
4A must do for first time...
A must do for first time in Dublin. Tour is self guided and would be more interesting to have a guide. The views from the gravity bar are fantastic.
Dublin is Ireland's friendly, literary capital on the River Liffey, a city of Georgian squares, historic pubs, live music and a gift for storytelling.
Trinity College holds the illuminated Book of Kells and the soaring Long Room library, while Dublin Castle, Christ Church Cathedral and St Patrick's Cathedral trace the city's medieval and colonial past. Georgian squares such as Merrion Square, with their brightly painted doors, and the green expanse of St Stephen's Green provide elegant calm.
Top-ranked sights in Dublin: Dublin Castle, Temple Bar, Trinity College Dublin.
