1. 7:00am. Meet your guide at the Explore Catalunya office, directly opposite the Palau de la Música. Your guide presents the day on a map so you know exactly where you're headed.

2. 8.00am - The first leg of the journey takes you past the dramatic scenery of Montserrat. This iconic mountain stands out dramatically against the skyline as we head to France and Andorra.

3. 8.45am - Arrive in this beautifully preserved medieval village at the gateway to the Pyrenees. Guided walk through cobbled streets and the ancient square. Time for coffee and a pastry before continuing north through the Tunnel del Cadí into France.

4. 10.25am Carrefour de UR, France (20–25 min). A mountain supermarket unlike any other — ski gondolas, a bear at the entrance, a piano, tractors, and some of the finest French produce you'll find outside Paris. Your guide will have already told you what to look for. Time is short — don't miss the bus.

5. 11.00am La Tour de Querol, France — (35 min). A quiet French village with a remarkable story. This is Catalunya Nord — the part of Catalonia that became France in 1659 following the Treaty of the Pyrenees. Your guide brings it to life.

6. 11.35am - We take the mountain road, not the tunnel. Climbing to the highest paved road (2,408 metres) in the Pyrenees, the views open up across the high alpine landscape before Andorra appears far below. We cross the border into Andorra. Now is the time to get that unique Andorra Passport Stamp.

7. 1.00pm - Join your guide for a short walking tour of the historic centre. Two full hours to explore at your own pace — tax-free shopping, lunch, or simply wandering. Meet at at 3:00pm sharp. This will be our last stop of the day, but you will have enough time to do a little bit of duty free shopping, grab a quick bargain or walk around its old stone streets and houses. At about 3:45pm, we will return to the bus and head back to Barcelona via a different route. This drive takes you through dramatic gorges, past verdant farming land, and alongside lakes and rivers, before the landscape levels out and the lush tones of green of the fields and the shining grey of the mountain rocks are replaced by the dusty orange and brown hues of this arid landscape. You will stop enroute for a chance to stretch your legs and quench your thirst, before arriving back in town at about 7:30pm

• 2Wanna spend 10 hours in a bus and 2 hours at a mall?

  I knew going into this tour that it would be long and that much of the day would be spent in the bus. I was prepared for that and have done similarly long tours in the past that I've enjoyed. However, this tour was SO BORING. The scenery out the window is beautiful, which is great, but ultimately the stops you make along the way are a whole lotta nothing. You only get 2 hours in Andorra and that time is spent in a literal mall. Overall, it was so sooooo disappointing. Our guide did nothing to elevate the experience or make it interesting at all. She barely provided any info at all, in fact. I encourage anyone considering this tour to pay attention to the photos others have shared. You'll notice they're all of the same bridge and the same clock statue and that's because that's all there is to see during your brief stop in Andorra! You only have so much time to spend in Barcelona and this eats up a whole day of your stay. It is simply not a good investment of time when there are so many better things to do. The best thing I can say about this tour is that we got back a whole hour+ earlier than stated. While normally I'd feel slighted by the shorter timeframe, this was one time when I was thankful to simply have it be over with already.

• 5We worth the money

  This was a very good tour. It is a long day but we travelled to the south of France and Andorra. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided a wealth of information and recommendations.

• 53 countries in one day with Alex and Raul

  My daughter and I had the best time! Shout-out to our driver Raul and our tour guide Alex! Alex was a really good tour guide. He was funny and very informative. He also made sure everyone was always safe. He even acted like a crossing guard whenever we had to cross a street! Thank u Raul and Alex!

• 3Pretty good but could be better.

  It was pretty good. Bus was comfortable. Stopped at a small town and unsure why, was a waste of time as it was a minute away from a comfort stop. Baga and Andorra were interesting.

  We had a very nice experience Pablo, our guide, was knowledgeable, very friendly and kind. We felt safe and comfortable on the bus and with our driver on the mountain roads. The stops in Bagà, Latour-de-Carol, and Andorra la Vella were amazing. And the views through the Pyrénées is priceless. Thank you so much, Pablo, for a wonderful experience!
