We will begin our group Marrakech tour at the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa, the lively heart of the Medina. This square has been a central gathering place for centuries and is famous for its street performers, storytellers, musicians, and food stalls. As we arrive, you’ll see how the square truly comes alive in the evening, offering a vibrant mix of culture, entertainment, and local flavors.
We will continue our group tour to the Mellah of Marrakesh, where we visit one of the most historic and authentic parts of the city. Starting here gives you a unique perspective, as this former Jewish quarter tells an important story of Marrakesh’s cultural diversity and coexistence. As we walk together, you’ll experience a more local and less crowded side of the Medina, discovering hidden streets, traditional markets, and learning about the daily life and history that shaped this fascinating neighborhood.
After exploring the Mellah, we’ll continue our group tour to the Bahia Palace, one of the most stunning examples of Moroccan architecture and design. Built in the late 19th century, the palace was designed to be the most beautiful of its time, and as we walk through its ornate courtyards, intricate mosaic tiles, and carved cedar ceilings, you’ll get a real sense of the elegance and grandeur of Moroccan royal life. Visiting Bahia Palace is not just about seeing a historic building it’s about experiencing the artistry, history, and peaceful gardens that make this palace a true jewel of Marrakesh.
During our tour, we’ll make a stop at the Spices Market, where the vibrant colors and aromas of Morocco come alive. You’ll see not only spices but also local oils, herbs, and traditional ingredients used in cooking and natural therapies. We’ll also visit a traditional Berber pharmacy, where local experts will explain natural remedies, oils, and age-old medicinal practices still used today. This visit is a break during the tour, completely free of charge, and as part of our hospitality, you’ll also enjoy traditional Moroccan tea while learning about these fascinating local traditions.
Next on our tour, we’ll visit the Soumarine area, a bustling part of the Medina known for its traditional souks and artisan workshops. Here, you’ll get a chance to see craftsmen at work, from copperware and leather goods to textiles and pottery. I like to show my groups how locals create these beautiful products using techniques passed down through generations. Walking through Soumarine is a sensory experience—the sights, sounds, and smells of the market really bring the Medina to life, and it’s a perfect spot to observe daily life and pick up unique souvenirs if you wish.
As part of our tour, we’ll stop at Rahba Kedima, one of the oldest and most iconic squares in the Medina. This vibrant spot is famous for its spice stalls, traditional crafts, and colorful displays of local goods, making it a feast for the senses. I like to show my groups how merchants have been selling here for generations, keeping traditional Moroccan market life alive. Rahba Kedima is also a great place to experience the energy of the Medina, interact with local artisans, and take a moment to appreciate the culture and history that make Marrakesh so unique.
After visiting the Medersa, we’ll take a walk through the souks, where the energy of Marrakesh truly comes alive. For anyone looking for souvenirs, we can stop at the heart of the souks, where local staff sell a variety of authentic and affordable gifts, from handmade crafts to traditional Moroccan items. This is a perfect spot to shop at your own pace, interact with artisans, and take home unique keepsakes while experiencing the vibrant marketplace atmosphere.
Next, we’ll visit the Medersa Ben Youssef, one of the most beautiful examples of Islamic architecture in Morocco. This historic Koranic school, dating back to the 14th century and expanded in the 16th century, was once home to hundreds of students studying religion and sciences. As we explore, you’ll see the intricate stucco work, carved cedar wood, and stunning tile mosaics that make the Medersa so famous. I like to point out the peaceful courtyard and detailed craftsmanship, which reflect the artistry and devotion of Moroccan culture. Visiting Ben Youssef Medersa gives you a chance to step back in time and experience the beauty and learning of historic Marrakesh.
At the end of the tour, we will return and finish at the same meeting point in front of Grand Café Glacier in Jemaa el-Fnaa, so it will be easy and convenient for you to continue your plans afterward or head back to your accommodation.

At the foot of the Atlas Mountains, red-walled Marrakech is famed for its maze-like medina, lively main square and tranquil riads and gardens.
Jemaa el-Fnaa, the great square at the centre of the medina, changes character through the day, from juice sellers and snake charmers in the morning to smoke-wreathed food stalls and musicians after dark. The minaret of the Koutoubia Mosque rises nearby as the city's landmark, and the souks spread north in a warren of lanes selling leather, lanterns, carpets and spices.
Top-ranked sights in Marrakech: Atlas Mountains, Tizi-n'Tichka Pass, Jemaa el-Fna (Djemaa el-Fna).
