1. The tour will start from Hakone-Yumoto Station. This is the starting point for sightseeing in Hakone and is also the entrance to the Third New Tokyo City in the Evangelion film. This is also where Shinji and Misato, the main characters in the first episode of Evangelion, met. Your journey with Shinji also starts from this station.

2. From Hakone-Yumoto, take the mountain railroad to Gora Station. This mountain railroad has often been damaged by apostate attacks. Gora is the location of the “Gora Absolute Defense Line” in the film, a strong defense line to NERV headquarters. About Hakone

Hakone is a mountain resort south-west of Tokyo in Kanagawa, known for hot springs, Lake Ashi, volcanic Owakudani and views of Mount Fuji.

Hakone lies in the volcanic mountains of Kanagawa Prefecture, within Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, south-west of Tokyo. Lake Ashi, a crater lake, is crossed by sightseeing boats, and a red torii gate of Hakone Shrine stands in the water at the shore. On clear days Mount Fuji rises beyond the lake.
