Barcelona's Gothic Quarter is especially enchanting at sunset and after dark. With fewer tourists around, the atmosphere becomes even more magical, making it feel as though you've traveled back in time to the Middle Ages. We’ll visit a historic fountain, explore a Roman cemetery, and walk beneath the ancient city walls. At King's Square, we'll stroll through the narrow, romantic streets of the Jewish Quarter, following traces of destruction left by the Spanish Civil War. We'll uncover stories of saints, martyrs, kings, queens, and medieval gargoyles. Beyond the rich history, we’ll dive into fascinating legends of knights, princesses, and dragons. To top it off, we’ll indulge in a warm hot chocolate at a traditional churros café in the winter or treat ourselves to irresistible ice cream during the summer!
We meet outside the Hard Rock Cafe in front of Plaza Cataluña. Here the guests are welcomed and the visit is introduced.
We glide along the city's famous promenade while drinking magical water from its fountain.
Square surrounded by pines and jacaranda trees where the Roman necropolis of the first century AD is located. Ideal place to understand the origins of the city.
Gothic Basilica of the XIV century, imposing medieval building full of history that helps us to understand the gothic architecture of the region. (On the tour we only visit the outside area of the Basilica)
Ancient entrance to the Roman villa Barcino dating from the 1st century BC.
The Cathedral of Santa Cruz and Santa Eulalia. A building where the medieval Gothic and Neo Catalan Gothic meet forming a pleasant view. An ideal place to talk about religion, architecture and local culture. (On the tour we only visit the outside area of the Cathedral)
The Plaza del Rey, along with the Royal Palace and the Chapel of Santa Agatha show us the vestiges of an era of kingdoms that refuses to be forgotten and still stands imposingly in the heart of the Gothic quarter as one of the most prominent places in it.
Brief stop to appreciate a little of the jocular culture of Barcelona. The Caganer : the pooper.
Government Plaza where we commented on the current political situation of the city.
Square with the monument of the traditional Human Tower of Catalonia where we end our tour by providing a list of local restaurant recommendations.

Barcelona sets Gaudí's fantastical buildings and a medieval Gothic Quarter between Mediterranean beaches and green hills, with food and nightlife to match.
Antoni Gaudí's work defines the city's image. The Sagrada Família rises over the Eixample, Casa Batlló and Casa Milà line the elegant Passeig de Gràcia, and Park Güell's mosaic terraces look out over the rooftops. The Gothic Quarter keeps its cathedral, narrow lanes and hidden squares, and El Born adds the Picasso Museum and the soaring church of Santa Maria del Mar.
Top-ranked sights in Barcelona: Sagrada Família, Montserrat Mountain, Gothic Quarter (Barri Gòtic).
