About Sharjah

Sharjah is the cultural heart of the UAE, a city of restored heritage quarters, museums, souks and lagoons next door to busier Dubai.

In the old town, restored under the name Heart of Sharjah, coral-stone houses, wind towers and the old fort of Al Hisn line shaded lanes. Close by, the Museum of Islamic Civilization holds manuscripts, ceramics and early scientific instruments, while restored courtyard houses in the arts area host contemporary exhibitions.

Top-ranked sights in Sharjah: Sharjah Aquarium, Al Noor Island.
