Start your adventure at Kiwi Journeys Central Otago in the Freeway Orchard Complex, next to the Misha's Vineyard Cellar Door. Free parking is available. Arrive by 8:30 am for a briefing and bike fitting, then shuttle to Clyde at 9:15 am.

Queenstown sits on the shore of Lake Wakatipu, a long, deep lake shaped like a lightning bolt, with the jagged Remarkables mountains rising across the water. It began as a gold-rush camp in the 1860s on the Shotover and Arrow rivers, and the lakefront, with its small streets, preserves a few stone buildings from that time.
