Established in 1916, it is the 4th wealthiest art musuem in the country containing a world-class, encyclopedic collection (closed Monday).
An architectural gem built in 1890, the 5-story, glass-topped structure was the country's first indoor shopping mall.

About Cleveland
Cleveland is an Ohio city on Lake Erie, with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a major art museum, a historic market and a national park on its doorstep.
Cleveland stands on the south shore of Lake Erie where the Cuyahoga River reaches the lake, a former steel and shipping city now known for its museums and music. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in a glass pyramid designed by I. M. Pei, sits on the lakefront beside the Great Lakes Science Center.
