Dijon, the old capital of the dukes of Burgundy, is a city of half-timbered houses, coloured tile roofs, mustard and the wine road south.
Dijon was the capital of the dukes of Burgundy, and its centre keeps their legacy in the Palace of the Dukes and Estates, whose fine arts museum holds the ducal tombs and a wide collection of paintings.
