Among the innumerable options that the Nahuel Huapi National Park offers, there is a little-known route but no less spectacular for that. From Bahía López, 25 km from Bariloche, you can get to the Brazo Tristeza by motor boat. There, if the day is clear, you can see the glaciers at the top of Cerro Tronador, the highest in the park. When we reach the end of this Arm, we descend to land to walk a path through a dense forest, in which species known as the coihue and the cane alternate. Then we arrive at the Frey Stream Cascade. The flow of this stream varies according to the time of year, producing a peculiar and characteristic sound, which is generated when the water runs between wells, on a bed of rock polished by years of erosion.
For about 1 hour and 45 minutes (or less, if the starting point is Bahía López) aboard boats such as the catamaran, you will enjoy a narrow fjord protected by the Lopez and Capilla hills, while watching multiple waterfalls and the summit of Cerro Tronador
Setting sail from Bahía López, you sail through a deep fjord flanked by the Valdivian jungle until you reach the Frey Creek Waterfall. At the end of the arm, you disembark for a low difficulty trek of about 1.5 km through the forest until you reach the Frey Creek Waterfall.
Sad Arm, which is a half-day lake excursion in the Nahuel Huapi National Park in Bariloche, is navigated by a deep glacier fjord surrounded by abrupt mountains, waterfalls and Valdivian jungle, culminating in a gentle 1.5 km hike to the stunning Frey Creek Waterfall

Bariloche is an alpine-style resort on Lake Nahuel Huapi in Argentine Patagonia, with ski slopes, chocolate shops and forests below the Andes.
San Carlos de Bariloche stands on the southern shore of Lake Nahuel Huapi, in a glacial valley with the Andes rising behind it. The civic centre, built of stone and dark timber in the 1930s, gives the town its alpine look, and the Museo de la Patagonia is housed inside it. Nahuel Huapi National Park, the oldest in Argentina, surrounds the town with lakes, beech forest and rocky peaks.
Top-ranked sights in Bariloche: Centro Cívico, Arrayanes Forest (Bosque de Arrayanes), Nahuel Huapi Lake.
