Ait Ben Haddou, an exceptional site for its old village or many feature films have been filmed, even if everything is in ruins, there remains special magic and beauty. You will be struck by the aspect of its architecture, typically Moroccan, the beauty of its small narrow alleys, this site will allow you to take great photos, to admire the sunset with unique colors in Morocco. In the direction of the High Atlas passing through the Tichka Pass (2260m). Panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and the very fertile green valleys. Continuation to Telouet, visit of the Glaoui Kasbah (Glaoui Palace). The current Kasbah was built by the Glaoua from 1860. Historically, it is the passage of the merchant caravans, which connected the desert to the South of Morocco to the big cities North of the High Atlas.

On Viator, I chose the more expensive day trip (€65) because I was hoping for a more unique experience. In the reviews — although they were from 1–2 years ago — people mentioned visiting a Berber family home and enjoying home-cooked food. However, I ended up in a group where other participants paid around €20–25, and the only real difference seemed to be that dinner was included. To be fair, the organizer refunded part of the amount after I asked, which I appreciate. Still, I don’t recommend this day trip.
5Professional and Unique
Yassine provided us with a wonderful day trip experience. He is from a small village inside the Atlas mountains and has a real passion for the area.Yassine was professional, courteous, and safe at all times. We took many breaks to take in the beautiful views. The restaurant we went to at the very end was wonderful. We had a whole Berber house to ourselves. It felt like an experience not many get. Highly recommend! 🤗

3Got a general impression, did not visit all expected places
A stop at Ait Benhaddou but only seeing Glaoui Palace from afar in passing. Nice lunch and car. Driver talking and messaging a lot during driving on the mountain road... Luckily came back in one piece!
5We had a great...
We had a great experience. I recommend Typique Tours. Our guide named Ibrahim his service was excellent and a great host Thanks from Becky and Pepe from Puerto Rico
5Excellent hospitality
Visit to Ait ben haddou and the lunch with hicham family was fantastic. The berber family hospitality was superb when we arrived at the berber family house they were baking fresh bread wich they offer us with a nice chicken tagine also they brew and offered us berber tea at the end hicham played tradional berber song.
5Ait Benhaddou Day Trip
This was a great tour that balanced travelling long distances with a range of interesting and beautiful sites that broke up the day. On the way to Ait Benhaddou, we stopped off in the Atlas Mountains, Telouet and had a Berber lunch. Overall, I would highly recommend this trip for amazing scenery and our accommodating guide, Khalid!
At the foot of the Atlas Mountains, red-walled Marrakech is famed for its maze-like medina, lively main square and tranquil riads and gardens.
Jemaa el-Fnaa, the great square at the centre of the medina, changes character through the day, from juice sellers and snake charmers in the morning to smoke-wreathed food stalls and musicians after dark. The minaret of the Koutoubia Mosque rises nearby as the city's landmark, and the souks spread north in a warren of lanes selling leather, lanterns, carpets and spices.
Top-ranked sights in Marrakech: Atlas Mountains, Tizi-n'Tichka Pass, Jemaa el-Fna (Djemaa el-Fna).
