  • 5Walking cork tour and so much more

Ricardo was such a fantastic guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable and made our tour so much fun. The farm and experience were so inspiring to learn about and the dogs that joined us on the tour made it even more special.

  • 5Wonderful tour of cork forest

Ricardo, our guide gave us an excellent overview of cork harvesting as well as information about the wine production. We learned about the holm oaks and their relationship to the cork trees.

  • 5Tour in the Rain!

Our tour was booked well in advance as a walking tour. But thanks to uncooperative weather walking was not possible. We met at Corktrekking as per plan, but heavy rain and winds made it clear that we weren’t walking anywhere. Our guide (sorry we don’t recall your name) saved the situation. He was full of information which he readily shared. It was fascinating to learn about agriculture and the pressures they face. Obrigada!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Cork Tour with Celino. We not only learned about cork farming but also about the vineyards and local agriculture. The tour was a lot of fun and we would recommend it to our friends. Thanks so much!

About Évora District

Évora District lies in the Alentejo region of southern Portugal. Its capital, Évora, is a walled city whose historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A Roman temple with granite columns stands near the cathedral, the Chapel of Bones is lined with human skulls and bones, and the university was founded by the Jesuits in 1559.
