You will travel by bus up to 1,000 metres on the volcano, then continue on foot to the crater. From the top, you can take in wide views across the Bay of Naples, so a camera is recommended. First, you’ll travel by bus up the flanks of Vesuvius to 1,000 metres altitude. Once you leave the bus, you’ll finish the journey to the crater on foot. With top-drawer views over the bay from the top.

After your trip to the crater, we’ll discover all there is to know about Lacryma Cristi wine, grown on the slopes of the volcano. You’ll tour the winery and learn how the unique soil and climate create ideal growing conditions, resulting in wines that reflect the terroir. About Sorrento

Sorrento perches on cliffs above the Bay of Naples, a charming lemon-scented town that makes an easy base for Capri, Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast.

The town's centre is Piazza Tasso, from which narrow lanes run past churches, shops selling limoncello and inlaid woodwork, and the peaceful cloister of San Francesco. Steps and lifts lead down the cliffs to Marina Piccola, where the boats leave, and to Marina Grande, a fishing harbour with seafood restaurants right by the water.
